Silicone Fiberglass Sleeve Structure

Silicone rubber sleeve is made from woven insulated fibre glass. Then it is coated with 100% silicone rubber. The silicone coat can bear max 260℃, while the fibre glass can bear max 550℃. While the complex sleeve can bear max 1650℃ instantly (within 30 seconds). In the extreme destructive test at 1650℃, fire resistant sleeve can keep half an hour. After 30 minutes, the fibre glass will as good as normal.

High Temp Fire Sleeve Function

First, prevent fire and high temperature.

In some places like steel factory, the whole workshop is in a high temperature environment. While such condition will cause bad effect on hydraulic hoses and cables.  In some cases, the hoses and cables will be very close to the stove. Then the high temp molten metal will burn the rubber layer. Besides, the slag or spark will also cause damage to the hoses and wires. While silicone sleeving can effectively protect the hose and cable from these damage.

Second, heat insulation

In some special industries, the medium deliver requires a stable temperature. For example, the oil and chemical deliver project. While the changes of external temperautre will affect the medium. Then it need a silicone fire sleeve to keep in a stable temperature.

Last, electricity insulation

Silicone hose sleeve can be used in metal hose and cable for insulation purpose.
